Who can be considered?

To be nominated for this fellowship, candidates should:

  • Have received provisional or unconditional admission to a Master’s program before February.

  • Show outstanding academic performance, supported by strong recommendation letters.

  • Have excellent grades in their bachelor/undergraduate studies.

  • Meet the English language requirements of their chosen program.

  • Be ready to attend the full duration of the Master’s program.

  • Be in good health so health insurance in the Netherlands can be arranged.

  • Hold the nationality of an eligible country (listed in Appendix 1).

  • Have no other financial support available for the study.

What does the grant cover?

The fellowship is awarded for a 1- or 2-year Master’s program. It provides:

  • Full tuition fee coverage

  • International travel costs

  • Living expenses

  • Books and study materials

  • Health insurance

How does the application work?

  • The Admission Office of the University of Groningen, together with faculty boards, selects and nominates candidates.

  • Only those who receive admission by February will be considered for nomination.
