• Annual Living Stipend: KAUST provides fellows with a substantial yearly allowance to help cover day-to-day living costs:
• Master’s Students: Receive a total of $20,000 per year.
• Ph.D. Students: Receive between $25,000 and $30,000 annually, with the amount adjusted according to academic performance and progress through the program.
• Fully Furnished On-Campus Housing: All fellows are provided with private, modern accommodation within KAUST’s vibrant campus community. This housing benefit, estimated at around $7,000 per year, includes full utility coverage such as electricity, water, internet, and maintenance.

Eligibility King Abdullah University:

• Academic Qualifications:
• For Master’s Degree Applicants:
  Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the program they are applying for. The degree must be obtained from a recognized and accredited institution.
• For Ph.D. Degree Applicants:
  Applicants should possess a research-based Master’s degree in a relevant academic field from an accredited university. Please note that professional or terminal Master’s degrees that are practice-oriented (such as MBAs or MPAs) are not accepted as substitutes for research-based degrees and should be clearly identified as such in the application.
• Age Requirement:
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time they begin their studies at KAUST.
• Academic Performance:
• The fellowship is highly competitive, and academic excellence plays a major role in selection.
• A strong GPA is essential:
  • Minimum GPA Required: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or an equivalent mark in another grading system).
  • Typical Profile of Admitted Students:
    • Approximately 90% of successful applicants have a GPA above 3.3.
    • Around 75% of admitted students hold a GPA above 3.5.
• English Language Proficiency:
• All applicants must demonstrate strong command of English, as it is the primary language of instruction and research at KAUST. Acceptable test scores include:
• IELTS Academic: Overall score of at least 6.0, with no band below 5.5.
• TOEFL iBT: Minimum total score of 79, with a minimum of 17 in each section. (KAUST’s institutional code is 4107.)
• PTE Academic: Overall score of 62, with no section scoring below 59.
• Cambridge English – Advanced (CAE): Minimum overall score of 176, with at least 169 in each individual skill area.
• Additional Notes:
• Some applicants may be exempt from English proficiency testing if they completed their degree in a country where English is the native language of instruction. However, such exemptions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
• All academic transcripts and standardized test results must be submitted as part of the application package.

• Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended. These should clearly show course titles, grades, and the grading scale used. If not issued in English, a certified translation must be provided.
• Curriculum Vitae (CV):
• A current and detailed CV outlining the applicant’s academic history, research experience, relevant work or internships, publications (if any), technical skills, honors and awards, and any other relevant achievements.
• Statement of Purpose:
• A well-written personal statement outlining the applicant’s academic goals, research interests, and reasons for applying to KAUST. This document should also highlight how the applicant’s background aligns with KAUST’s research environment.
• References:
• Contact information for three academic or professional referees who can provide detailed recommendation letters. The referees will be contacted directly by KAUST to submit their letters confidentially.
• Proof of English Proficiency:
• Official score reports for one of the accepted English language tests (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, or Cambridge English), unless the applicant is eligible for a waiver.
• Identification Document:
