National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) is offering a scholarship program for international students who want to study Chinese and experience Taiwanese culture through the Chinese Language Center. This opportunity is aimed at students who are currently enrolled in the program and meet the eligibility requirements.

Who Can Apply?

• Must be an international student (not from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, or Mainland China)
• Minimum age: 18
• Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher
• Demonstrate strong academic performance and good conduct
• Currently enrolled at NCKU’s Chinese Language Center

Who Cannot Apply?

• Students holding a Taiwanese passport
• Those studying Chinese at other language centers in Taiwan
• Students who previously studied a degree in Taiwan
• Previous recipients of this scholarship
• Students already receiving other government or school scholarships in Taiwan

Application Process

Applicants need to submit the required documents, including:

• A completed application form
• Passport or proof of nationality
• Academic transcripts and diploma
• Recommendation letters
• Records from the Chinese Language Center
• Any other supporting documents

Applications should be sent via email to the Office of International Affairs by the stated deadline.

Additional Notes

For shorter awards (up to 6 months), applicants must plan to continue to a Master’s or Ph.D. program at NCKU if admitted.
