UMW Piscopo Rodgers Science Fellows Program – Key Facts
New program funded by $36 million gift from Irene Piscopo Rodgers ’59.
Supports in-state and out-of-state first-year students at UMW.
Covers full tuition, fees, housing, meals, and research experiences.
Focus on science fields like biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, math, and environmental science.
Students work closely with faculty on real research projects.
Program plans to support 15 first-year students each year.
Also offers Alvey Scholarships for out-of-state students.
Virginia students can apply for Washington Scholars full-ride scholarships.
Tuition Promise covers full tuition for Virginia Pell grant students.
