About the Scholarship
The Tomorrow’s Leaders Program (TLP) is sponsored by the U.S.–Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI), a program of the U.S. Department of State. It aims to develop capable, open-minded, and community-driven leaders who can help build a better future for their countries.
Selected students study at one of three top universities:
The American University in Cairo (AUC)
The American University of Beirut (AUB)
The Lebanese American University (LAU)
In addition to their degree, participants take part in internships, leadership workshops, and community service projects that help them apply their classroom learning in real-life situations.
Host Country
The program takes place in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, mainly in Egypt and Lebanon.

This is a fully funded leadership scholarship covering all major expenses, including tuition, housing, travel, insurance, and monthly allowance.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following conditions:
Be citizens of Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, West Bank/Gaza, or Yemen.
U.S. citizens or permanent residents are not eligible.
Undergraduate applicants must be current high school seniors or have graduated recently (in 2024 or 2025).
Strong academic record and leadership potential.
Able to show financial need.
English proficiency: minimum TOEFL iBT score of 80 (valid within two years).
Ready to begin studies in August 2026.
