The UN Young Leaders for the SDGs program chooses 17 young people every two years to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. These young leaders come from many countries and different fields like food, fashion, and finance. They work with the UN and other partners to inspire young people, take part in global events, and create projects that support the SDGs. During their two-year term, they learn new skills, share their ideas, and lead activities in their communities while following UN values like honesty and responsibility.
This year, the results are announced, and Nila Ebrahimi from Afghanistan is one of the winners. She will join other young leaders to work with the UN, share her ideas, and help make the world better. This program gives her a chance to show her work, meet other leaders, and take part in important events for young people around the world.
