Work Bank Scholarship 2025 – 2027

World Bank Scholarship

The World Bank, in partnership with the Japanese Government, offers the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) for students from developing countries to pursue master’s degrees in various development-related fields. The scholarship is fully funded and covers travel costs, tuition fees, health insurance, and a monthly stipend for living expenses.

Eligible applicants must be nationals of developing countries, have a university degree obtained within the last six years, at least three years of relevant work experience, and must be currently employed in a development-related field. Additionally, applicants must apply to one of the participating master’s programs in the U.S., Europe, Africa, Oceania, or Japan.

Key areas of study include economic policy management, tax policy, infrastructure management, and other development-focused disciplines. The scholarship provides two application rounds: the first round is from January 13 to February 28, 2025, and the second from March 25 to May 23, 2025.

The scholarship includes coverage for round-trip airfare, full tuition fees, health insurance, and a living stipend, though applicants are responsible for visa costs, family expenses, and additional course fees. The selection process takes into account professional experience, academic background, and commitment to development in the applicant’s home country.
